Clackamas Dogs Foundation – Time Is a Much Needed Resource

CDF is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of dogs and people through supporting the educational and public service activities and programs of Clackamas County Dog Services.  Volunteers help us generate support through assisting with community outreach, special events, and other direct funding campaigns.

sarah1Volunteers who are already trained with Clackamas County Dog Services are welcome to become cross-trained with CDF, or if you just want to help CDF without hands-on time in the shelter we welcome that as well.

All CDF volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application, and will receive additional training as needed.  There are several general volunteer needs, but here are some specific jobs:

  • Correspondence Volunteers – Every day we write personal thank you notes, condolence cards, and other correspondence to our supporters. Volunteers will assist with this either at the shelter, or weekly at home.
  • Outreach/Tabling Volunteers – CDF supports CCDS staff and volunteers by providing information at events such as National Night Out and local community fairs.  We would like to create a team of outreach volunteers to call upon when needed.

Please contact Sarah Holcombe at sholcombe@clackamas.us or 503-722-6729 to learn more about getting involved!
